Most Delicious Turkey Burger I’ve Ever Had

Active Time: 15 minutes   |   Total Time: 25 minutes   |   Serves Serves 4

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 large eggs (whites only)
  • 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • hamburger buns and your favorite toppings
Instructions

Wash the parsley and pat dry with paper towels. Then chop.

Chop the onion and garlic.

Separate the egg white from the yolk. Save the yolk for another use.

Place the turkey in a large bowl and sprinkle with salt.

Add the breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, egg whites, and pepper (12 turns on pepper mill).

Using your hands, gently mix the ingredients together. Divide the mixture into 4 even portions. Then shape each portion into 1-inch thick patties.

Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat on to medium-high. Add the oil and heat until it shimmers (1 to 2 minutes). Carefully add the patties to the skillet. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 4 minutes. Flip them with a metal spatula and cook until the bottoms are golden and the burger is cooked through, about 4 minutes more. You can use a paring knife to cut into the burger to make sure it’s completely cook.

Build your burger.
